Honoring those crafters who came before us
Thistle. An annoying weed made beautiful by stitching!
My sweet Mother in law gave me this beautiful embroidery a couple years ago. I just adore it.
It was made by HER maternal Grandmother. Unfortunately, it must have been one of those UFO's we all talk about because she never finished it completely. I left the needle in it and framed it as is.
I love the colors used in it, and I love how each flower looks so different! And she used SO many different stitching techniques!
A little bumblebee.
Talented lady, am I right?
This beautiful art hangs proudly in my front hallway for all to see when they visit my house!

I love this embroidery. My Great Grandmother was a skilled baker and seamstress. She would be proud that you framed it and display it.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics by the way.
